Public Lands on Broad Street Join us on Founders Green during Atlanta Streets Alive on September 27 from 2 - 6pm to discover the wild, historic corners of metro Atlanta hiding just a short drive away. We're teaming up with the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area and the National Park Service to bring a piece of the outdoors into the heart of Broad Street — 40,000 acres of Piedmont forest, two mountains, three lakes, plus the Chattahoochee River winding through it all, and 34 miles of trails that the Arabia Mountain team calls a "museum without walls."  Try your hand at fishing with a hands-on casting lesson, get up close with wild animal meet & greets, and meet the rangers and stewards who care for this land. Learn how to explore the trails, waterways, and historic sites for yourself, and find out how easy it is to get outside close to home. Public lands belong to all of us — stop by and see what's in your backyard while tasting the amazing snacks and drinks throughout South Downtown Atlanta.
